Chemical Peel
for the Detroit, Michigan Area

Chemical peels use a variety of solutions to exfoliate the top layers of your skin, revealing the fresher, smoother skin underneath. They improve the appearance of:

  • Fine lines
  • Skin discoloration or age spots
  • Light sun damage
  • Light freckling
  • Acne scarring

Chemical peels are available in a variety of strengths. They begin with glycolic and alphahydroxy acid peels, commonly referred to as "lunchtime peels" because they have minimal recovery time. The next level includes VI PEEL, a new generation of chemical peel that is getting superior results and rave reviews. The anti-aging VI PEEL reverses the effects of sun damage, environmental factors and time. It can also clear up acne and impurities for patients as young as 12. Recovery time is 3-4 days.

For clients who want the deepest peel available, the trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel is the best bet. This deeper peel requires sedation anesthesia and is done at the hospital or surgery center by Dr. Vasileff. Recovery from a TCA peel takes about a week. All techniques "kick start" the generation of skin cells through the healing process to reveal a more radiant glow.

Most of the chemical peels are performed by skilled aestheticians at Dr. Vasileff's affiliated Orchid Day MedSpa. Our professionals help you choose the appropriate peel strength based on your individual needs. Some people who are having a face lift in Michigan choose to have a chemical peel to limited areas at the same time. In these cases, Dr. Vasileff performs your chemical peel.
