In Detroit, collagen treatment is probably the best-known wrinkle filler, but Dr. Vasileff uses a new category of injectables called hyaluronic acids (HAs). HAs occur naturally in the body and provide better, longer-lasting results. The three most commonly used are Restylane®, Perlane® and Juvéderm®, all of which plump and smooth your skin's appearance to reverse the signs of aging. They are particularly effective when used in the nasolabial folds, known as the "marionette" lines, and at the spot where your lower eyelid meets your cheek. Results are instant and natural so you'll look younger and re-energized but no one will know why.
Restylane and Perlane now come with a local anesthetic mixed in so the injections are much more comfortable. Injectable fillers can even minimize scars and work well in conjunction with other wrinkle treatments including Botox® & Dysport™ and laser skin rejuvenation.
