First, the skin that lines the slot is removed in order to create a raw edge on which to rebuild. Then, the flaps are used to reshape your ear. This will help minimize any scarring.
There is no downtime and little or no pain after the procedure. You may experience some sensitivity after surgery, but it will subside in 2 or 3 days. Stitches are removed in 10 days, and you can re-pierce your ears 6 weeks later.
